The sun keeps beckoning me out of slumber to witness her rising splendour. I force my lids shut insisting on sleep. But she calls. She insists. I draw the curtains and watch her rays break through the trees, open the sky and reflect all her beauty across the distant ocean. I smile and give thanks, for she is much wiser than I. x A
